For newer Blingees, you can now simply right-click on the image and choose “Save Picture As” or “Save Image As” from the “Get Code” pages to download it to your computer. Please refer to the help for more details.

We have added Valentines Day content so that you can start to Blingee up for Feb 14 :-D. Remember to send some love our way on V-Day! In addition, over the last week we have done many tweaks and upgrades in the background, and increased capacity across the site… also, if you had problems loading your images into the BlingeeMaker, the known issues are fixed… it should be much better now. Bling away!

Tonight, we also had to move the Goodie Bags, and weren’t able to keep all of them, sorry for those affected. We just realized that many of you had been keeping a big Goodie Bag for a long time… please add your Stamps to your Favorites if you want to keep them forever. The Goodie Bag is just like a shopping cart, you don’t keep it for more than a few days.

Over the last week we have made several updates necessary to enable us to grow more and keep the site going. We apologize for the many error pages that have been popping up. We are taking care of those as fast as we can. Also, because you are building Blingees faster than we can make them, we are limiting the number of you that can make a Blingee at the same time. So in late afternoon or early evenings, you might see a “Server Busy” message… please try again a few minutes later. We are adding new servers this week, so hopefully you won’t see that message much more.

Our counters show that more than 103,000 Blingees have been created in the first month since the Blingee.com Preview went live! Getting here has meant working close to 24/7 through the holidays to keep the site up under load, add privacy features, tweak usability, deliver great content, and much more… Thank you for the interest, the feedback, and most importantly for spreading the word. Our data center is about to grow to allow a faster and bigger site, and we have more features and content in the pipe, so let’s get to a million Blingees together very soon!

For your default picture, make sure you use one of two smallest blingee sizes and they should keep looking good on Myspace. Sometimes when you downloaded your blingee and set it as your default picture, there were unexpected pink effects… we just fixed that.

We received a lot of questions and requests on being able to easily save a Blingee and post it as a default picture on Myspace and other sites… so we just added a Download button to the codes page (instructions here). We have also been updating the website everyday for last week or so, addressing problems that you found and issues that arise as the site grows. Thank you for all the Blingee love!

Christmas came a little late but we finally got our new server to spread the love a bit more. Sorry for you putting up with a slow site, and the error pages over the last few days. Bling on now :-).

Blingee.com has been very slow over the last day or so… we are aware of it, sorry for the inconvenience. It has come to a point where we had to order new servers. Things are coming along fine and we should definitely be back up to normal speed for your New Year Blingees!
